My films explore family, belonging, and resilience in the face of social and environmental change, primarily through the lens and voices of women. Whether returning to my childhood landscapes in Hawai‘i or collaborating with communities navigating climate and cultural survival, I approach filmmaking as a space for reflection, care, and dialogue.

As UN Women’s video lead, I worked closely with Project Everyone to shepherd this massive virtual production featuring changemakers, celebrities, and leaders across generations and around the globe. The video launched a global call to #ActForEqual in support of the Generation Equality Forum in Paris, a critical convening to advance the rights of women and girls.

The Courage to Question series takes you up close and personal with women’s rights activists across the globe as they fight for a world where women and girls can live free and equal. As UN Women’s video lead, I had the unique experience of working with our partner, Google, to produce this powerful and innovative series of VR180 films for International Women’s Day.
When the eyes of the world were on Afghanistan, we produced this timely piece spotlighting the urgent situation and rollback of rights for Afghan women and girls. Co-produced and edited by Mark Burwick.
